The 8 Most Amazing Courts to Play Pickleball in the United States

Looking for an amazing place to play pickleball? Maybe you’ve grown tired of the pickleball court you built or your portable pickleball net, so here’s a few that’ll blow your pickleball socks off.

I’ll admit, this is an idiosyncratic list — completely unscientific and purely based on which courts I would love to play at — but haven’t yet.

That said, I have scoured the web and noted pickleball courts that have caught my eye over time. I also have a few general criteria by which I have judged them:

  • At least a few permanent, USAPA regulation courts
  • Interesting surrounding area and views
  • Great weather for pickleball
  • Close to fun things to do – extra points for being close to the beach!
  • Other fun activities to do besides pickleball at the venue

Chicken N Pickle

Chicken N Pickle is a chain of 4 (soon to be 6) unique pickleball court locations. Each of the locations are indoor and outdoor complexes featuring multiple pickleball courts paired with sports bars, a restaurant and a fun atmosphere.

Their locations are currently in Kansas City, MO, Wichita, KS, San Antonio, TX, and Oklahoma City, OK. (At some point this year they will have locations in Overland Park, KS and Grand Prairie, TX).

If you live near one make a reservation for a court, check it out, and make an afternoon/evening out of it!
